About Vijay
Vijay Shankar Rajarathinam is a commercially driven F&B and business development leader with 25+ years spanning culinary operations, corporate dining, food tech SaaS and F&B consulting.
He co-founded Tunefork in 2015 and has since successfully delivered 15+ restaurant and catering projects — from intimate kitchens to large scale industrial operations across India and internationally, including a Dubai government project redesigning a school facility into a European standard industrial kitchen serving 10,000 meals daily.
His consulting track record includes growing Cloud Kitchens from ₹36 Lakhs to ₹3 Crores in three years, and developing a sales strategy for a new restaurant that achieved ₹75 Lakhs in revenue within the first 3 months.
Beyond consulting, Vijay has held senior leadership roles at SmartQ and Sodexo — building pipelines worth ₹50+ Crore and onboarding clients across Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Trivandrum and NCR.
He trained at the Grand Hyatt Singapore, worked at the Mandarin Oriental Miami's AAA Five Diamond restaurant, and holds an MBA from Madras University and is currently completing a Business Management programme at IIM Kozhikode.
